Bursting..

With excitement.

This weekend was a pretty big one for me. The world cup camp to a close (sigh, Netherlands) , an old friend was randomly in town, and I booked my first gallery show.

Yep. Interiors has been booked.

Richmond is not lacking gallery space by any stretch. A lot of bars/restaurants host local art in addition to coffee shops and even local small businesses. I had my sights set on my favorite gallery in town for the show. Granted, I do know everyone at said gallery. However, these individuals run a successful art gallery and I trust they would just not take anyone into their space.

As of around 1pm on Saturday July 10, 2010 , Interiors was booked at Quirk Gallery.

If there was ever a place to have my show, this is the place. Their shop is killer and the roster of upcoming artists is terrific. If felt like a perfect fit from the beginning and I am glad to call Quirk the home for Interiors.

We talked through a few things on Saturday and it looks like I am going to get exactly the show I wanted. Let’s just say, their will be all sorts of goodies in addition to the art hanging on the wall.

The show date is July 2011. I have exactly one year to assemble 30 to 40 pieces that will provide a cohesive experience on what was once a white wall.

I efforts to make this truly awesome, I will be creating a website to document the process rather than using my current C-team facebook photo album. Details on that to come.
