.....................

I’ve been chugging right along lately. Working in advertising can consume a lot of time, especially around the holidays. I have been quite fortunate in that area for the most part. Here is a virtual hi-five to all of those putting in extremely grueling hours as we gear up for the major holiday 2010 season. I know a lot of my co-workers had to put in long days over the weekend and I really want to thank you for all that you have done.

Because of their efforts, I have had the freedom to complete a few different things that needed to happen.

First and foremost…

The t-shirts were sent off to the printer at the beginning of the week. I will be picking them up next Saturday en route home from the Close thanksgiving festivities. All who pre-ordered should be getting their product a week early which is wonderful news to share. It normally takes me a few days to get them on the web, but hopefully I can move a little faster for the holiday season.

I spent the better part of last weekend working on this piece for RVyAy:

The theme of the show is art inspired by your favorite recording artist or album. I decided to create Factory Records 502 (501 was the final number in the catalog). I have always loved Peter Saville’s album art and the label’s numbering system, so this direction was a perfect fit. My love for New Order didn’t hurt either. The piece is 12” x 12” mounted to foam core and will most likely be priced at $50. All proceeds go to benefit Art180.

I will also be selling t-shirts at the event. If you have seen something you like recently, come by Gallery 5 on Friday December 3rd and take a look at the product in person. Event details can be found HERE!

I love this time of year. Bring on the holidays!
